If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that also mops then this is the model to go for. It's smaller than other models and makes it easier to maneuver in tight corners or under furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar that combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. best automatic vacuum cleaner has a hefty 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery mid-clean.
It is very fast and does an excellent job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways with only one pass. Its suction motor of 8,000pa makes short work of picking up dirt, droppings, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the double side brush helps to remove debris from corners.
The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by a lot. The rotating mop spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms stick out a bit more than other robots, which is helpful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. Those same front arms can also be used to clean larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and fallen books.
Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've ever tried. It doesn't create the same amount of noise while vacuuming or mopping and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It is simple to install and works well. However, if you are buying this vacuum solely for mopping you must pay attention to this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a range of features.
The device comes with an efficient cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This allows it to map out the home, find furniture and other obstacles. The robot is divided into two modules which include a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping unit that has microfiber pads. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping might seem a bit outdated however, they mean you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.
The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its best feature was its accurate map of your floorplan which it uses to determine an outline for cleaning. This made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also offers the option to set "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers, which help to protect certain areas of your home from being cleaned with mop.
We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up hair of pets. The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. However, it has some unique features which are worth a look. The X1 Omni is notable for its massive dock that doubles as an charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses a 2.5-liter dust bin and the 2.5 liter dust bin.
The base also has a variety of control buttons that let you manually start cleaning or recall the robot or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two of the buttons to turn off a child lock which is a great option for parents concerned about kids tinkering with the vacuum.
The Omni Omni, like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to detect obstacles and furniture in its path. It will stay clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
This can cause the X1 to get stuck if it is entangled in a hazard, such as a power cable draped over a rug. It will not work until you remove it manually. While it was not common but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen particularly since the X1 Omni doesn't have an "stuck" status alert on its app.
Another possible issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad, except that mopping pads don't get washed or dried between uses. This could lead to mildew and mold.
On the bright side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a big departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome appearance in a market that is dominated by bulky, boxy units.
